I had a mixed experience at Oyo 391 Pat's Klangviang Guesthouse. While the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room itself was disappointing. The location is convenient for exploring Chiang Mai, but an ongoing construction project nearby made for an unpleasant morning atmosphere. 🏨🤷‍♂️

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite small and basic, with hard mattresses and minimal amenities. I struggled with hot water during my stay, which was frustrating. The view was lacking, and there wasn't much walking space.
Service
8.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, offering a delicious welcome drink and helpful suggestions for local attractions. Their willingness to assist made the stay somewhat enjoyable despite the room's shortcomings.
Location
7.0
Located in the southeast part of the old city, it was easy to walk to local restaurants and shops. However, the construction noise did detract from the overall experience.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast options were limited, but the dining area was nice. I had the Western-style breakfast, which was decent but could have used more variety.
Facilities
5.0
The guesthouse provided complimentary Wi-Fi and basic amenities, but the lack of hot water and the uncomfortable bed were significant downsides.

Staying at Pat's Klangviang Guesthouse was a fantastic experience. The friendly staff, especially Pat and Lasana, made me feel right at home, while the cozy atmosphere and great breakfast options enhanced my stay. However, the noise from the street at times could be a bit distracting for light sleepers.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with a mini refrigerator and an LCD TV. The view of the temple added a lovely touch, although the street noise was noticeable at times.
Service
9.0
The service was really good; Pat and her team were welcoming and genuinely interested in making my stay enjoyable. Lasana was particularly helpful in negotiating transportation and sharing local insights.
Location
9.0
The location is perfect for exploring the old town, with the Sunday Walking Market practically at my doorstep and several major temples within a short walk.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was delicious, with options like omelets and fresh fruit. I particularly enjoyed the Pad Thai, which was some of the best I had during my time in Thailand.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities included free Wi-Fi, desktop computers, and a lovely terrace for socializing. The cleanliness was excellent, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming.

My stay at Oyo 391 Pat's Klangviang Guesthouse had its ups and downs. While the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the room left much to be desired. The location was convenient for exploring the old city, but I was disappointed with some aspects of my experience, including the breakfast options.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was small and somewhat basic, though it was kept clean. My bed was a bit hard for my liking, and the view wasn’t impressive. The air conditioner worked well and I appreciated having a fridge.
Service
9.0
The service was warm and welcoming. Mei was great at picking us up from the airport, and the staff, especially Lasana, were attentive and eager to help with any queries, from booking activities to sharing local tips.
Location
8.0
The guesthouse is in a great spot within the old city, making it easy to walk to many local sights and the Sunday Walking Market. Despite some noise from the nearby temple, the street was typically quiet at night.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite simple, lacking variety. I found the powdered orange juice disappointing, especially given the abundance of fresh fruit available. However, the meals at the restaurant were tasty and reasonably priced.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities were adequate, with reliable Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV with international channels. The lobby had computers available for use, making it easy to stay connected.

My week at Pat's Klangviang Guesthouse was truly enjoyable, offering a cozy home-like atmosphere with friendly staff. Although my room was a bit noisy and basic, it was clean and comfy, with a great view of a nearby temple. Breakfast served in the small front yard was a good start to my day. The location is excellent, within walking distance of key sites and markets, but a little walk to the night bazaar. Overall, it was a great base for exploring Chiang Mai.

Rooms
7.0
I found my room basic but clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony and a beautiful view of the temple across the street.
Service
9.0
The staff, especially Pat, were incredibly helpful, providing great recommendations and assisting with booking excursions.
Location
8.0
Located in the heart of the old city, I was right across from a temple and a short walk to many attractions, although slightly further from the night markets.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was simple yet tasty, filled me up, and I loved having it in the yard while people-watching.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel lacks a pool or terrace area, which would have been a nice touch, but it has a small library and a pleasant ambiance.
